I'm so tired of "learning"... When am I going to make money from this? Everyday I keep watching videos about blockchain technologies, market terms, strategies. Spending time on x, biz, reddit. Reading news and articles. Stocks, crypto, commodities, forex. I've created a Binance account and a TradingView account months ago; but I don't know what to do.

And recently I've realized that I'm starting to forget many stuff I've learned so far, probably because I've never "used" them actually.

Everyday I just keep learning and nothing happens.

>I don't know what to do
Thy shit out, coward.
I dunked like 1/3rd of my NW a few months ago on my bank's fund to see how it felt. I thought I was probably gonna get screwed with fees, and after a few weeks of reading I knew it for a fact but saw the number go up so w/e.
After those weeks, another 1/3rd to the S&P. Shortly after I tried out individual stocks and a couple ETFs. Caught CRCL, slightly late because the ticker wouldn't appear for a while on my service but still took back a tidy 60% profit for my first ever sale.
Just try it. Break the analysis paralysis barrier. I'm fully aware that I'm a retard who is vibe investing and dedicating a larger-than-recommended % to gambling but the bold retard gets farther than the inactive genius.

So?
How many big runs do you get in a lifetime? I was born in '94, so if my parents decided to invest my University money in Microsoft or whatever and pulled out in time I could be rich without even knowing.
I saw Bitcoin when I was a teen, decided against it, could've become rich, didn't.
Circle happened just as I was joining the investing world, and had I had more cash at hand and my service not been slow as fuck I could've gotten a x10 on my NW.
Facebook. Google. Tesla. Amazon. IBM. Railroads. Name it.
Will the markets straight up stop? Will good ideas cease to enter the corporate world?
Just because you missed some because of age or circumstance does not mean it's over. Catch the next ride, and to do that you got to put yourself in a position to catch it and in a lookout to spot it.
Don't be a pussy.

You aren't just going to magically make money trading because you watched enough youtube videos. If it were that easy everyone would be rich. And the fact you think you "already missed the bull run" just shows me your immature and definitely not ready to nor meant to be a trader either.
People have this misconception here that trading is such a great way to make lots of money.
How many rich people do you know that got rich by trading? And how many people got ULTRA rich by trading? And you really think those that did got there "easier" than by founding your own company or being a well paid executive?

I'm still trying to figure out if all the math shit you hear about for quants is just a meme or what because I've had decent success with 'tism lines and also just day trading the spread since stuff fluctuates so rapidly, you don't even have to be right on the direction to make money.

Spend an hour learning what the basic indicators do and then make sure you understand that risk management is literally the most important then.
After that just start trading because it's the only way you will learn.

idk why retarded fucking normies think that they can learn a skill by reading a book. You can only learn by doing the thing that you want to learn, no exceptions. Books are only there to make your practice more efficient.

And some books are decent
>Reminiscence of a Stock Operator (find one with annotations, helps understand the historical contexts)

Investing is rock simple. Buy the lowest cost ETF you can find (VAWG) and GO AWAY. Never touch it again. It will go down, don't touch it. Hell you can do it with gold, just won't accoomulate as much.

Same shit with crypto. You can make money, just buy coins and GO AWAY AND NEVER TOUCH IT AGAIN.

I invest and succesfully leverage trade fwiw but my strategy is wildly different because I dont ever have to be right "right now"

thats the #1 thing you should "learn" anon. Its not about being right "right now". it's about being right at some point in the future. This is true for investing and trading

I dont use a single goddamn indicator. they are created for midwits. If I got millions from trading I wouldnt write a book to tell everyone my method, begging for cash. I wouldnt be e-begging + cloutniggering on social media and jewtube to "teach" (handhold) noobs how to lose money.

If youre gonna do AYNTHING besides just DCA like an automaton (what you should be doing), just try to gauge mass psychology. You simply go long where niggers get liquidated, and dont give in to fomo. basic rules. You could invest when fear&greed is low for example. When you become more experienced you dont need that piece of shit indicator. Or you buy when /biz/ looks like pic rel

with 1x (i.e. spot buying) you can have lenient rules.

S&P and Bitcoin have always recovered so you can "comfortably" buy tops (give in to FOMO) and still be right momentarily, forever, or 3-4years down the line. During those years you ofc continue DCA

trading is like investing but with aversion to unrealized profits and losses

Youre gonna have some cucked leverage system that is OK with +10% trades, like I do

then you end up getting outpaced by buy & hold almost every goddamn time, no matter how well you do in crab markets

You close at +10%. lets say you have $1100 now
Then your psychology or system demands that you wait until red/green to long/short. the asset only drops -3%. You end up re-investing only 50% during some dips. You have $550 in a leveraged long position now. It fucking mega pumps and you get your +10% again. now you have $1155. meanwhile your buy&hold is ripping ass because you have a way higher risk tolerance and more money invested. Your buy&hold outperforms your trading efforts in 1 day

sometimes, the real reason people trade is because they feel like they want some form of agency

I want to interact, buy, sell, see if I'm right or wrong, test myself. even if it's counterproductive compared to spot buying, I'm probably still going to do it. AND, IF i'm going to do it, which I am, I'd better use a sane system where I dont lose everything just because my monkey brain wants to click buttons and detect patterns in noise

i trade 2-5x with enough experience to be consistently profitable. right now I have a trade open. if I want to match my current spot gains (relatively) I will have to let Ethereum run straight to $7k without taking a single $ of profit along the way. and by then my spot gains will be even higher

it mostly just gives normgroids confirmation bias that it was the TA that did it

critical thinkers understand that TA leads to a sine wave graph that maybe only slightly trends up or down based on sentiment or perceptions about the economy

now, a 200 week moving average is or can be valuable. but lets be real, when people talk about indicators, 99% of them mean their fucking ichimoku MACDonalds RSI clouds on the 10-second chart to go 80x long on. Like a fucking crack junky. and when it doesnt work they move to the next indicator thinking it will be the magic one that's gonna make profits

I have a friend who reads TA books and is currently obsessing over some noisy piece of shit called a DMI indicator

You don't learn trading, It's mumbojumbo.
Investing is easy, invest in a commodity or business that you think will become more prevalent in the future.

Think BTC has utility? Invest in it. Think there will be a growing demand for old people health care? Invest in it. Think Europe will continue to move away from US, invest in government sponsored EU companies like defence.

Investing is simply imagining the future and betting on your guess. The only skill you need to learn is to detach yourself from short term loss and to stick to a decision you fully thought out.

been trading for a long time heres some advice. You only learn by trading, and not sure how much paper trading helps since you dont have emotions, which are the biggest part of trading. Second: don't look into the future and think whats gonna happen, look at what the chart is telling you right now, and have some plans based on your current entry. Its very hard to adapt during a position because of how emotional we are, thats why we need to have a SL planned before.

You'll only really learn from actually trading broski. Learning to deal emotionally with losing money is going to help you more than any grifting ass person on YouTube. And buy memecoins. Those are the only things that will get you any actual returns. Tech Alts are scams that mascaraed itself as something useful when it's not and stocks are for boomers who still believe in the "muh fundementals" meme even though its been proven the stock market is all smoke and mirrors ran by coke addicts. Just don't buy newly released shitters. Buy established memecult communities, and take profit. Selling is the hardest thing you'll experience when trading after being in the green imo. Good luck.
