End of year people will feel the reality of tariffs, the economy is getting raped, this is the calm before the storm where companies are burning cash piles.
No amount of coping about fake unemployment numbers or AI bubble hype will change this. I grew up in the UK and I’ve seen this all before post brexit. Everyone insisted things were fine while companies were burning cash piles. Employment looked good because of fake gig economy and zero-hour contract jobs. But any real work was completely fucked irreversibly, I couldn’t find employment in engineering anywhere. Then Truss came out with her budget that exposed the countries financial reality, and everything immediately collapsed.
