No. Sirgay takes staker's profits and adds it to his McDonald's spending account.

Why would Chainlink Labs distribute their profits to token holders when they have zero obligations to do so?

Nope. Sergey would just pivot to an AI company and use all the cash to fund whatever he wants. Sergey is not some benevolent and magnanimous guy like linkies believe. This is a guy who bought his dad a fucking Lambo after pumping and dumping NXT

No, they haven't lmao. The 4% is substantially less than the token dilution alone and then add to that the OTC payments we know they do.

It's not a profit distribution though. There is no profit. Staking is paid out from the foundation's reserve.

staking rewards are a customer retention program. you know the coupons you get in the supermarket? same thing, they entice you to buy things that aren't needed, like the token

oh shoot I'm totally cool with being wrong.
Cant you explain the numbers to me?
what does "from 8500 total" mean?
4,809 LINK is meaningful in isolation, but gibberish in context
Where does the final number come from and how does it relate to the previous figures?

Average, not median. Once you take the grifting by the top brass out of the system the median staker makes about $3.50 a week

Thomas, we know you're a fidget spinner.
You have absolutely no place whining about Link token dumps when Ripple dumps many times more and literally NONE of it goes to the XRPL network or nodes because they're required to work for free.
Every single XRP dumped by Ripple is pure pocket money for them.

it's the node operators who get the rewards, not chainlink labs
LINK just provides the framework for the operators to offer their services and for the customers to receive all necessary information

(You) indirectly get exposure to this since node operators will eventually open their nodes (likely using the official LINK website as a middleman interface) to attract LINK holders, since the more LINK a node has the more collateral-requiring tasks it can handle and the more profit is generates
the current "staking" we have is unnecessary since no tasks require collateral yet, it's closer to something like an experiment or an alpha version to ensure people are familiar with the process for when the real thing is up

this is also why LINK has no big-time usage yet (i'm talking about running the world economy level, not defi shit), it's because the big boys will not buy LINK services if their position is not secured by collateral
