With a net worth of about 650k, putting 30k on crypto gambles makes sense, right?
The rest of my money is in my house and ETFs mostly.

I plan to get in on a few alts and get back out before the inevitable crash, then rotate into BTC once we're well into bear territory.

just DCA bitcoin and eth forever with an amount you dont mind losing completely with the plan to sell in 20 years or never; double your normal DCA if the market looks desperately soul crushing bearish. you will outperform your imaginary sell top and buy bottom strategy and have no tax implications

dca and chill for 5+ years is the only strategy that works

you think you're gonna sell the top and buy the bottom, but what really happens is you sell at 130k then it goes to 140k so you rebuy, then it goes to 100k so you sell, then it goes to 125k then you rebuy, etc etc

I held BTC successfully for nearly 7 years, realizing a x63 (I sold to buy a car which I then needed and did not have cash funds for at the time). I am many things but not a panic seller.

if you like to gamble on useless "utility coins" crv or aave are decent bets

highly recommend sticking at least half the profit in btc rather than praying for a dip. theres a timeline where your targets simply never hit. the "dip" could be from 200k to 150k for instance
