35% of the US stock market is mag 7 companies and almost their entire valuation is driven by AI hype. If AI proves to be a bubble (it pretty much is) then the S&P is probably taking a 30-50% haircut soon.

How fucked are we?

The money doesn't necessarily disappear it just cycles into other sectors. It's a good thing for useless bubbles to pop, we need investment and attention in other real things.

It's not. AI is going to transform their productivity thats why they're investing so much into it. They don't have to hire thousands of jeet coders at six figure salaries anymore to do monkey work.

The best way to think about AI is not just to compare it to an Industrial Revolution like the proliferation of the internet but also to electrification, the growth of the railroad, etc. Just wait till they start the next wave of commercial robotics โ€” there may well be a crash, but fundamentally there is a whole new massive market here to fill real needs. Just AI and robotics assisted geriatric health care alone is a multi-trillion dollar market waiting to be tapped, not to mention to practical and real applications across every other domain

AI will change the world, but there will be alot of salty fags on the way to the singularity. anyone forced out of a comfy job, anyone who spent 30 years on a discipline just for a fucking computer to come out of nowhere and do what they do in seconds. its understandable some people are upset by AI.
as someone with no skills, im thrilled. i played video games for 20 years while i did wagie shit, and soon its not going to matter. AI is almost superhuman at coding, its almost certainly already being used to do research at OpenAI. if/when this proves successful they will scale up massively, hoping to initiate an intelligence explosion.
good odds its misaligned and kills us all, but either way its happening and intend to make a tidy stack while it does. a house and a robot gf will be mine, and i will be happy.

This has already existed for decades. Most companies are not 100% efficient with basic technology, AI is not going to change anything

I actually agree anon, and I think people who hate AI are just too retarded to understand that it's only a matter of time + trial and error to iron out its quirks until it will eventually get better at that by itself in literally any and every conceivable field. A loop of refinement obviously guided by humans through each step. Right now it's only a couple of years old, and even video generation has gotten twice as insane in the span of, what, 6 months?

Art, science, medical analysis, everyday tasks, so many things, it's all going to be changed gradually but far quicker than we think.

The problem is a lot of people have button pushing jobs where AI does work, or at least works well enough. I had a ticket at work that I thought I needed a different team for because im not an expert, eventually after weeks of runaround and them shrugging their shoulders I plugged in all the platform details and symptoms into chatgpt4 and it found the issue. Another time I wanted to translate a Korean novel and it produced better output than DeepL and was pronounced fairly accurate by a native speaker. And im told chatgpt4 isnt even the best LLM for more specific use-cases like coding. Entry level niggers across the board are unironically in for a reckoning. People with deep domain knowledge or skills that are difficult to automate will be fine but who knows what the final stop of the AI train is. Maybe itll slop itself into oblivion or maybe itll be powerful enough to make most of the workforce redundant.

once corporate realizes 99% of ai shit is just generating futanari porn with diffusion models and generating text via a fancy next-word suggesting software it's fucking over lmao. no wonder a bunch of companies are scrambling to achieve singularity quick, chatgpt from 2022 is the same as today with minor corrections/improvements here and there.

the internet is a powerhouse of utility. it does everything. research, trading, banking, education, entertainment. everything. it's the proxy for sharing and receiving information anywhere in the world at any time. what can ai do besides copying what the internet itself is but worse + censored AND generating ai futanari pics?

there are too many dollars in circulation and they are held by entities that do not invest efficiently. so the market ends up distorted. AI is nice and it makes sense to be bullish, just not this bullish. same thing happened with the early internet
