First week after retirement and first time vacuuming my house after retirement. Why does doing my blue collar work literally feel “low class” or “low status.”

What a crock of shit image, no fucking shit rich peoples kids dont get sold trades, they either take up mommy and daddys business or go to ivy league schools.

Today its far better for a kid to go to trade school than get a worthless fucking degree. Even higher level technical degrees like engineering and coding are starting to be not worth it because the jobs just simply arent there anymore, especially with AI getting ready to eat everybodys lunch.

Trades are an interesting one if you’re above average in IQ. If you’re strategic, it’s very easy to move into project management or run your own business. Most of your peers are drug addicts, morons, or ADHD-affected, so by comparison, you’re leagues ahead.

If you’re a neet with a functioning body, I’d suggest the following strategy.

>get /fit/
>get truck license
>work manual labour for 3 months
>get a job in Oil and Gas or hardrock underground.
>work for 12 months, take overtime.
>easy 9k to 11k per month without living expenses.
>put savings money into BTC
>get into WHS to save your health.
>now have comfy office job earning 120k to 160k on a 2:2 roster.

Blue collar here that makes 2-3x the average office worker.
I don't do my own oil changes anymore. I will easily pay 90$ for someone else to do it in 20 minutes and have them dispose of the old oil.
Other than that I do basically all my own electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry because of how easy they actually are.
