In Jan 2025, my crypto portfolio was worth $50k. Since the dip, I've put at least another $8.5-10k into it - and today my portfolio is worth $44k. Where did the extra money go?? How did I make a loss?

January was when shit was starting to hit the fan with tariffs so that big dump was a big reason why your portfolio is still in recovery mode. Also you "buying the dip" was likely buying a local top after a huge dump so some of that money likely disappeared.
Crypto is a nasty brutal game if you aren't an insider or weren't a lucky earlybird.
