Flare is everything Chainlink wanted to be.

Decentralized from day 1
FTSO = multiple independent data providers, all economically incentivized
Actual on-chain governance and validation
Can bring ANY data on-chain — crypto, Web2, you name it
Built-in smart contracts (no L2 excuses)
Cross-chain interoperability baked in
FLR token actually used in the ecosystem, not just held hostage

Much like anything shat about by ripple, it's a cash grab with functions and features that change on the spot depending on who is trying to shill it or who they're trying to shill it to and it isn't actually used by anyone.

I'll be interested after FAssets rolls out and other people risk their asses first. Even then I'd really only be interested in staking fXRP.

because defi is dead. these guys were late as fuck to do the airdrop then late even later before they finally started distributing tokens, which they changed the rules on to there benefit after the fact.X

things that have happened since the flare airdrop on dec 12 2020
>solana went from 1.60 to 160 and was meme engine mass extractor
>hyperliquid went from zero to 50
>bnb new ath
>btc 30x
meanwhile, flr waited 2 YEARS before they started distributing tokens, the airdrop was dec 12 2020, the first tokens hit wallets jan 9 2023. more than 2 years and when the finally did it they said 'lmao fassets, the community needs to do that'

and then, they changed the distribution rules to help themselves.
AND their is proof they dumped a mega load in the IOU market hours before distributions started.
hugo and everyone around him should be in prison

checked and hopelessly married to your bags pilled.
The original purpose of Flare was to provide smart contract capability to chains that did not have it natively, I.E. the XRPL.
They probably pissed off Ripple so bad with the airdrop that Ripple went and developed the XRPL EVM Sidechain with Peersyst as a response.
So now the XRPL can handle smart contracts, there is competition for defi, and there's easy access to chainlink, so really what's the point of Flare?
I am unoptimistic about Flare as a whole, but I am unreasonably optimistic about XRP so it may raise up just because it was at some time somewhat related. Seven more drops to go.
I will laugh when FLR hits $1.00

A pilot isn't the same as working with them. Chainlink has not launched with any bank or company.
>but we're confirmed to go live this year!
Been saying that for years now.
Said it all throughout 2024, 2023, and 2022 but its always just out of reach.
Two more years! After all whats missing out on another bull run when we're all going to 81 thousand gorrilion dollars?
