Do you have to have programming knowledge to get into crypto? I have no experience

Bruh, learning to code (in depth) is a waste of time.
Its a form of work that is infinitely outsourced, and is now getting replaced with vibecoding.

Okay but if I want to start trading crypto do I need to learn programming? I'm a complete scrub to this kind of stuff and don't really have a lot of knowledge. I'm a newfriend and just want to learn how to run a node.

Basically I want someone to explain it like I am their dad/grandpa who is tech illiterate and has minimal knowledge of blockchain.

Maybe you donโ€™t *have* to, but you should because it will make things a lot easier for you.

Yes, you need to understand how smart contract Solidity code compiles into EVM opcodes before you can buy your favorite memecoin.

Tech knowledge is more important. Programming just exposes you to the tech stack. Linux servers, databases, networking are important to understand. Basic knowledge of programming is also useful.
All of that helped me demistify crypto and understand blockchains and smart contracts and why they're useful, and eventually decide by myself if a project is worth investing in or not.
Start with some youtube videos about what blockchains and smart contracts are. Ask chatgpt clarifying questions if you need, ask it to answer in simple terms. Eventually it will click.

Or pick aesthetically pleasing coins, that works too.
