why do you oppose tariffs to correct both explicit and subtle subsidies other countries give to their own industries in order to take more than their fair share of jobs and distort free market? and the fact they remove these subsidies/regs once threatened, therefore actually facilitating more free trade

What do you mean? Only outcasts and retards will suffer in a free market. Sounds fair to me.

Tariffs are a way to mask internal problems like too many regulations and taxes. Other countries giving subsidies is like taxing their own citizens and giving the money to you (through a cheaper product). You are literally giving losing access to free money when you put tariffs

>but my country's industry won't be able to complete!!

A country doesn't have to be good at producing everything

This.
And take a good long look at "why" they won't be able to compete. If the answer is "cheap labor" then it's time to reflect on what this really means.

your conception of a "free market" is so idealized and imaginary that you might as well be talking about luxury space communism.

No, your insistence that the modern world is the only tenable path is idealistic. Idealistic to a lazy worthless goyslave.

This so much. In fact, there should be no borders at all so that the whole world can compete freely
