Even the US government thinks ETH is decentralized.

it started when ethereum nodes started implementing hardfork upgrades being coordinated on reddit by the ethereum team

the logic is that if you can ever get a majority of a network to change itself for any reason, then its not decentralized enough. pretty weak

Can we go against the wishes of Vitalik and the ETH Foundation? Why are nodes so expensive now? What if someone bought all the nodes, for example BlackRock?

Isn't this the exact same how Bitcoin BIPs and consensus works?

listen here, frogposter
bitcoin is more decentralized than ethereum because running a bitcoin node is easier
the hardware required is cheaper
ethereum used to be lightweight and could run on a dogshit flip phone, full archival node

but now the node sync takes a fucking week to perform, on a moderately strong desktop/ notebook

but ethereum CAN BE synced from genesis
that's what makes it decentralized
that's what makes it a real blockchain

but bitcoin IS more decentralized

not exactly because BIPs are mostly softforks
and the adoption of softforks works by BIP 8/ BIP 9
you can ask GPT to explain it to you

it is because the cost of running a full node is cheap and easy
you probably don't know what decentralization means

BLOCK PRODUCTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DECENTRALIZATION
POS AND POW ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME

holy fuck
seeing you retards make the same misunderstandings as the first normalfags in 2012 is unreal
please ask chat gpt to explain to you how blockchains work

the icy piss thread always has one monkey that thinks sybil resistance has anything to do with decentralization

No they are not. Liquid staking alone makes PoS completely pointless but it has a 1000 other problems.
