I wasted my 20s drinking and racking up a body count of 200 and now I’m a loser overnight security supervisor. I get to sit in Herman miller embody office chairs and fill in call offs for 26/hr with plenty of OT.

The best I can hope for is to periodically quit my job and go on micro-retirements in Southeast Asia for 6 months at a time every two years. I’m too tired to do anything but sit on my ass.

It doesn’t feel good but I’m not going to just work continuously for 30 more years

I did a similar thing as you in my 20s but not quite as high as 200. That's insane. I wouldn't count hookers though, only count proper lays.

Anyway I feel the same way. It's like as you get older you realise that it really was pointless, but a part of me feels like I'd be forever obsessed about sex if I hadn't got it out of my system. There's probably guys who feel exactly the same way but reversed (they feel they wasted their 20s working and getting a good career earning money).

I think the answer honestly is meditation and just stop thinking about things.

if you have like 50k in your mid 20's youre already ahead of the game anon, you might not retire immedaitley but probably could retire in your early 40's if you keep up the pace

yea that's me, except without the great career/money, spent all my time in front of a computer, went to university for software engineering, only went to like 3 or 4 parties. Didn't really enjoy them, but wish I was less autistic and pulled a few girls during my time, or at least had a qt long term gf.
Been working 10 years since then, wasn't smart enough to get into FANG so started at 50k/yr, up to 78k/yr now. All I have to show for it is 700k and deteriorating health from sitting all day, and that's with half in crypto.
I went to thailand a few years ago for a few weeks, it was fun, and I could probably just barely afford to retire there, but I don't think I'd want to spend the rest of my life there.
There's so much risk with such a low amount that could make it a one-way trip. I don't want to do that, feels like I need to save enough to retire in america to insulate myself properly, and I'd need more like 950k to do that at a minimum, which is another 2 years of working.
To replace my salary it'd be 1.5m, which is another 6-7 years of working.
Unless crypto goes up 60% in the next few months, I'm stuck still working, but at least I have some hope there's an end to my waging. Would suck if we get another 90% dump.
