>>60729699 (OP)I don't like to say this, but you have no idea the stupidity of boomers. Yes plebbit is full of people who make up Stories like this, and maybe I would be skeptical if I hadn't known a neighbor who was one of the sweetest ladies ever, And her mother died, leaving her this multimillion dollar inheritance, And she was being scammed by the bob loving indians and nigerian princes with some of the oldest scam tricks that we all consider so dated that theyve become memes - other friendly neighbors tried to warn her that she was being scammed! But she cut everybody off I guess for fear of looking stupid or something, I really don't know and then recently moved away and it's just all terribly sad because she was a genuinely nice woman, but like most boOmers they don't know about this shit
> You're the visitor and you just WON a free laptop!Like I cannot believe my dad fell for this shit, to this day he still bitches to everybody about this, and I told him that he should probably find something else to talk about because telling the world that he fell for some bullshit click bait pop-up spam on a desktop in even the last decade is just embarrassing :/
Never underestimate the stupidity of people, not necessarily even stupidity, but just the power of ignorance, fear and The feeling of victory getting something for nothing
I also worked with a lady who fell for the email scam using prepaid debit cards I don't even remember what it was - But it was so obviously a scam that you look at these people and you think how did you fall for something like that?
These scams Wouldn't otherwise exist if they weren't effective at some level. I don't doubt the veracity of OP only because I've seen the power, the self-destructive power of boomer ignorance
