This time, there is a problem. The current pump relies on Trump forcing people to use crypto coins, replacing inflation with a more effective multidimensional system of value extraction. The EU will have to follow, as their crooked politicians get blackmailed to do what America wants*. But if there is a major player in terms of wealth, like China, which hasn't integrated Western crypto in its system, then the West has to reinvent crypto to not be vulnerable against easy attacks. This takes many years and lots of learning from mistakes, and will be a major hindrance for mainstream adoption. My personal guess is that many of these attack vectors were originally designed to do said value extraction from the plebs, so it won't be just identifying and getting rid of them, many whale shareholders will oppose the fixes.
