What do I need to know before investing in individual stocks. I only invest in the S&P 500 but want more gains, I'm thinking AI and tech.

literally just read 10k's and build a port. this gives you an edge because most people in the market for the past 5 years are retards who buy shit that people on 4twitteddit say to buy. don't buy shit over 30 PE unless it's like SaaS or something that has a legitamate reason to be >30. probably want to stick to US companies and avoid stuff with unhedged forex exposure

I would recommend starting with some etfs like vgt,qqq, or schg

Single companies really take a lot of time and research. I will buy some but its only like 2 or 3 because I just dont have the time to keep up with more

If you keep most in the market and your few picks pay off then you are better off than 90%
