In my country I get 2000€ net and the company and I pay around 2000€ in taxes so without taxes I'd be getting 4000€, to a 50% effective income tax I have to add 21% VAT so 71%, and then a whole bunch of bs taxes like a carbon tax on my cars and a property tax based on what the government says my assets are worth, the middle class is the cash cow of the governments
