>see job listing for my state government
>"CREATE VIDEOS FOR US AT THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM!!!"
>job listing doesn't ask for a cover letter
>doesn't ask for a portfolio
>doesn't even ask for any formal qualifications
>and I still went substantially above what they asked of me
>I made my very own mock tourism ad to showcase all of my techniques, camerawork, animation skills, etc
>attached that alongside a passionate cover letter telling my journey with digital arts and what I can bring to the role
>month goes by
>hear back
>"Application Unsuccessful" without any feedback or explanation
Let me guess: they handed the job to somebody who identifies as a transexual Aboriginal? If I have 20 years of experience and went well beyond what the job listing asked for, what the fuck did I possibly do wrong that I'm not even worth an explanation let alone a shortlisting?
Moreover, should we ban women from working in HR? AI could surely do a better job.
