a lot of people seem to misunderstand Palantir. they are at the absolute forefront of automating white collar work. LLMs agents are not good enough yet to be standalone workers. in the hands of a software engineer, they are useful. but to automate entire business functions, you need something like palantir's Ontology at the base.

so my thesis is - palantir is a hedge. if AI gets good enough where i can't find new white collar work, PLTR has likely become a $4 trillion+ company, and so i'll have a million dollars in my pocket. it's financially irresponsible not to own it if you work an office job.

Palintir is just data mining software. Finds useful paterens in existing data. To improve business.

They invest in alot of companies though so it might be worth to hold.

This is what I don't get. There are people complaining that AI is going to take all the jobs but you are literally here on planet Earth at the time that all of these AI overlords are being created and you can L.I.T.T.E.R A.L.Y own an actual piece of these companies now when they are cheap. So if/when they ever do take over they will be worth gorillions and you will be worth at least millions.

The end game isn't to replace workers with AI. Its to use AI as middle management slave masters. They can use AI to lower wages, monitor the workers, check their output against the AI. The AI isn't creative, so they will need slaves to feed it with useful data, but then they will claim AI did it all and pay the workers pennies.
