Statistically investing the full amount right away is best and waiting for a crash usually doesn’t pay off.
However you can of course get super unlucky with your timing that way. That's why many recommend spreading the investment over time for psychological reasons. But contrary to some claims, this is not actually better from a statistical point of view.

investing in what? if you're a zoomer you prob don't have much money I assume, so cost average into whatever you want to invest in. unless you're planning on deploying a ton of money at once then timing doesn't matter

Holding the dollar is essentially being short assets. Prices will probably correct around September but they might also be at a higher low. If you're seriously new and you've got like 20k. Just put it all in bitcoin and don't ever sell it. Once you've spent 4 or 5 years paying attention to markets the you can try buying and selling beta plays. But learn why a lot of anons here say buy and never sell bitcoin.
