Smart people said a lot of dumb things during the dot-com and real estate bubbles, but nothing as dumb as what theyโ€™re saying now to rationalize the Bitcoin bubble.

There is a huge difference between a store of value like gold and a highly speculative digital token like Bitcoin, which has no real value to store. Yes, the price of Bitcoin went way up, but prior speculative gains don't qualify Bitcoin as a store of value for current buyers.

I loved seeing the boomer US politicians trying to talk about crypto without spilling it's just their latest vehicle of scamming the tax payer for their personal enrichment.

There hasn't been a real stock market crash since Bitcoin came around, it's been riding the wave with stocks, pretty much tied to their performance. What happens when stocks crash 80%+ and stay there for 15 years? Bitcoin will drop 99% is what.

I love bitcoin, but I think the bubble will pop eventually. When will that be? Who knows.

It's not a bubble though. It can't go to zero.
Is it digital nothing? Yes. But it's so well known that it will always have a demand.

There's not going to be a fucking pop. It's going to inflate forever. Enriching the rich and destroying everyone else. Does a fucking parasite ever say to itself "I'm being too greedy, the host will die." NO.

so whats your point? if you dont play the stocks/bitcoin ponzi you are guaranteed to be poor forever. the more risk you take now the sooner you can derisk and put profits into more reliable things like arable land, guns, and PM's. also note that these things will provide zero value if you don't also build up a real life community that will defend eachother to the death and have ample munitions.

what you're describing is a mad max scenario since government gibs will disappear
