When do I assume my InMail on LinkedIn was ignored?

I just sent my first InMail, im not even sure how it works. I have the free Premium thing. I sent it 3 days ago and no reply. My profile has not been visited and the person did not react or comment on anything since a week ago so there's hope they didn't check their LinkedIn yet I guess.
