Why is this called the business and finance board? You're all just gamblers. None of you will find alpha.

This board used to be full of alpha ten years ago. I got wealthy here, then I went tit the feds and lost most of what I had so now I’m just rich. But yeah, this board is where I learned what made me money

You're not discussing his particular jeetcoin so he is bitter. Just ignore the thread.

Well, be honest.
Crypto is worse than regular gambling because it pretends not to be gambling, while everyone already knows the truth.
And you don't see much business or finance or corporate skills discussion.
If it's just to be the crypto containment board, fine, but it should be renamed and the real /biz/ better be separated.

No I lost my money going to prison, not gambling. Well gambling with my freedom. If I never went I’d be in mid seven figure hell

I'll be honest.
NEETs and social outcasts outperformed financial advisors and professionals by orders of magnitude, while shitposting about frogs on an obscure internet shithole.

Gambling became the only realistic way to make any money
Working means becoming a slave and being underpaid, starting a business is riskier than ever, gambling on memes or things like shido became the most stable thing lmao, It's not our fault

If you are an actual business person then you can tell what's valuable and what's not.

Example. XRP and Ripple add value to a business through cost savings.
>insert non business person reply
You see. We WANT responsible and well connected people administrating the investment.
It was an obvious huge winner and will continue to win. But /biz/ will seethe and cry foul the ENTIRE TIME.
Why? None of them are in business so they can't see business value.

Cryptocurrency ruined the board. I remember what it was like before basedjaks and crypto. It didn’t have this much degeneracy.

Damn, did you get raided and charged with fraud? Care to share what happened to you? I always wondered, what happens if you put all your money in Monero and then hide the hardware wallet somewhere no one would find it, like taped in that little bottom hiding spot of a Nintendo Gamecube? Theoretically the feds wouldn't be able to seize it all like they do with bank accounts. Obviously you'll still be ordered to pay back all fraudulent income made but they give you a payment plan right?

I guess the answer is "no one who commits fraud expects to be caught" but I always wonder why people keep half a million in their bank account instead of keeping $10k in the bank then $490k in a hardware wallet or overseas exchange or something...

Precisely. You can also time the market based on past behavior. For example, altcoin prices spike exactly 18 months after bitcoin halves, this has happened twice in a row (2018 and 2022). I'm surprised this isn't mentioned more often because it really surprised me that it repeated in the last two cycles consistently. This is completely different than just playing slots and hoping for the best.

It's even funnier when you consider that actual business and finance threads, and even threads like this, get deleted, while the crypto crap and some of the most retarded ones somehow don't.
