Reminder: Never touch a CEX no matter what in this day and age. Keep zero paper trail, don't pay taxes, and just buy shit you need directly with your crypto (there's plenty of places to spend it at this point).

>(there's plenty of places to spend it at this point).
only if you live in megacities or in the US, I'm not interested in moving away from my family so this doesn't apply to me

Poor loser with no kids mentality.
Probably an incel.

We have things to lose and responsibility. I'll gladly pay 15% LTCG to avoid the hassle.
It's a shakedown, fine.

But no capital gains on USA crypto is going to pass eventually and my XRP won't even be taxed.
I always win by the way.
Literally always.

letting them know you have crypto will only lead to more hassle in the future. there will be confiscation and capital controls when they get desperate, as happened in the US in the 30s and has happened in many other countries many other times.
trying to avoid taxes illegally is admittedly a big risk, and not worth it for most people, but letting that den of vipers know you have wealth is also risky.

forgot to add:
borrowing against your crypto in defi isn’t income or capital gains because it’s debt. this way, you owe no tax and don’t have to dox yourself to a cex.

if you have $1000 in one bank account in your name and transfer it to a different bank account that is also in your name, you didn’t just make $1000 of income.
*depositing* crypto is not the same thing as selling it or trading it. you are still the owner of the asset, it’s just not currently in your custody.

When the new system comes out you'll be screwed. Your non KYC wallet will be blacklisted and your portfolio will turn into monopoly money.

What new system? I don't doubt things are getting more totalitarian year by year, but what you're talking about would take a good decade or two.
