1m is probably not enough to retire but it’s enough to get a big enough annual return that you could really start beefing up your investments and hit 5m or so in a few years.

List of things you should actually be aspiring for with your wealth:
1) Off grid home with underground bulk food storage
2) Helicopter. I want the Hill HX50. It will take about a year to get your license, at which point HX50s should be available.
3) A boat. 40 foot plus yacht with sail and diesel engine.
4) 4x4 vehicle

Then you can start buying the frivolous shit.

I consider it so. My house is paid off and I have 100k savings and 60k (145k) in crypto. House is worth almost double now, probably inflation but whatever. I'm a cheap cunt too, I've had everything I've needed for some time now.

1 million is plenty to retire, i retired with $700k 4 years ago, travelling full time i started out in the balkins as it was cheap staying in 3 star hotels but now I've been all around the world my portfolio has almost doubled so I'm goin to more expensive countries you can go almost anywhere for $3000 a month staying in nice hotels

No i never have my flight out planned except once and it was terrible, sri lanka a shithole, no problem at all, most countries don't care, and if its a requirement you rent an 'onward ticket' for $10 takes 2 minutes and you get an email to show the airline at checkin. Immigration never asks buy they all ask for your first hotel reservation

>you can go almost anywhere for $3000 a month staying in nice hotels
Whereabouts do you travel?
In southern ontario, I think that'd be impossible or a very unfun unexperience. Nice hotel price average at like $100 USD/night and that's your entire budget gone, no money for food or transportation or doing anything. I guess you can go cheaper but the niceness of the hotel drops pretty quickly, anything below $70/night and you're getting smelly rooms, bed bugs, low water pressure, dirty/stained rooms/bedding/towels, and that only gives you $30/day which really isn't much. Just eating out is like $10/meal, then there's the cost of transportation, taking an uber or renting a car will blow you way over budget.
Maybe if you booked out a room in an airbnb for a month you could get the price down to $1100USD, assuming they don't hit you with random bullshit fees, that would leave enough to travel around and eat and cook.

Cheapest was turkey for $700 a month anywhere in the Balkans, eastern Europe Malaysia, Thailand vietnam less than $2000, Japan, Taiwan s. Korea $2500, south America less than $3000. In Germany now it will be around $3000. Fuck canada, i don't skimp on accommodation but there i would get a tent and just do nature

1.1 million if you are not a fkn retard can allow you to live as a neet with a middle class life style indefinitely. All you need is a 5% return and you are netting over $50k a year. That is amazing amounts of cash to be getting passively. It’s financial freedom
