The socialist and Christian democrats are eating shit in national elections almost everywhere but still hold power in the EU parliament and are pushing for absolutely deranged policies like chat surveillance, ID-conditioned web access, and 800b in defense spending when a couple years ago they rejected a 100b fund to address the housing problem because it was too much money, labeling any criticism as malicious actors helping foreign interference...
Because of my job I have to follow Spanish, French, and Portuguese news, and I keep reading articles about how if Ukraine falls, European troops will have to defend Poland next... complete nonsense.
