They won't change anything. It's even produced, or something amongst those lines, by Huke, the original illustrator for the vn, and it's because he has since changed his art and he wants to put it into the rererelease. The trailer just shows the new character designs.
Also, the creative director of the science adventure vns has said that he won't be touching Steins;Gate's original story anymore because it's over and he doesn't want to change what already is (which makes sense, since when you think about it, even though S;G has been milked to oblivion, after 0, it's been just rereleases with new art, or the Elite animated version).
It's good because it means the original story can stay intact, but I genuinely think we never got a deeper look into Kurisu and Okabe's relationship, apart from the ova and film, which leaves everything the same. I hope in the Steins;??? thing they at least mention that they got married or something. Fingers crossed. It has to happen.
