The menu is weird. What is your real issue though? I am confused. Is it surcharges of an insignificant amount? Is this all establishments doing this?

so should plate splitting charges, tap water and credit card surcharges, or cash only buisnesses....it's up to the consumer to take their dollar elsewhere, though. Whatever. I'll pay cash only for good BBQ, that's for sure.

one check per table means on bill. e.g. they won't break the bill into multiple values so you can split the check. probably because their staff is too stupid to do math.

Anonymous No.21513081 [Report] >>21513091
>>21513074
no, that's not how percentages work. you could split a check a billion ways and the total tip across all the checks will be the same, up until they start rounding on pennies.
e.g.
10% of $100 is 10 dollars
10% of $50 is 5 dollars

Then the prices on the list are wrong, they should add the 4.25% to the price of every item. What is this shit? Hey the sides are 10 bucks, by the way 2 dollars are added to the price if the sides so it's not ten bucks it's 12

How are you planning to steal a checkbook? I haven’t ordered a checkbook in over 10 years but couldn’t you just order one with a fake account number (not that I’m suggesting you do that)?

Restaurants don't rely on poor people. There are enough rich people out there they can keep operating at whatever price they set. That and poor people still go out for birthdays, anniversaries and company functions. They don't care about your $6 of profit you give them once a week. They make that off one rich guys drink lmao

Thats when I walk out, and its just cost you a table you would have had the four of us at that you cannot fill at short notice.
>one check per table
Fair. If you invite people out or book a table, you should be able to pay for everyone then get the money back. I see it regular that people ask for the bill to be split at the end too, not at the beginning, when everything has already been ran through the till. If you are too poor to cover the cost of a table and get the money back from your fiends, stay at home.
Anonymous No.21514056 [Report] >>21514063

Id want at least £42 an hour, because that's how much I make, so it would be a waste of my time to work for less. If someone who's station in life is cooking green beans could earn that much, they wouldn't be cooking green beans.
Anonymous No.21514063 [Report] >>21515538
>>21514056
The average restaurant profit margin is 5% after all cost anon and the guy who is cooking the green beans won't do it for less than 15 which means there's a hard line as to what they have to price shit to not go broke. So unless you want that restaurant staff to be homeless I suggest you quit your bitching and pay the ask. Or stay your ass at home. If their profit margin was 50 percent or higher you might have a legit complaint but it isn't and you don't

That's not true at all for the vast majority of restaurants. Most restaurants rely on being affordable for the middle class.

Pretty much any small business that has a draconian arbitrary rule, the owner had one bad experience and went ballistic and made a vow and will die on that hill

Probably a party of 5 spent 45 minutes squabbling over what percent goes to whom'st and what percent to tip and they decided that was enough of that
