No. I was educated. I'd have to go out of my way to negate the muscle memory of my hands on a keyboard to omit punctuation and capitalization. I cannot ignore spellcheck. I honestly don't know how you people even do it. I'm guessing you're on phones and basically "texting" your posts. Probably have spellcheck disabled or you just ignore it. I'm not "autistic" or anything, I'm just too old to change my ways. And I think it's an awful sign of societal decline that anyone would be shamed for being correct and formal in their communication.
I believe in being the change you want to see. Will anyone improve their own posts to be like me? Hell no. There's probably even resentment of my formality. It probably looks "elitist" or something. I don't care. I'm not down with looking stupid. I don't intend to "fit in" here. I never have and I never will.
But I often see posts that look like something I would have written. So I know I'm not the only one doing this. I don't give a fuck if it's unpopular. I am a formally educated professional chef, so I DO know what I'm talking about on this board. I'm not going to dumb it down for anyone. But pulling up images of some opinion I had on /tv/ 9 months ago isn't part of the process. Or if it is, I need to stop using images. The only encouragement I can take away is that my arguments are clearly insurmountable for some people so they stoop to really lame tactics, such as "BUT LOOK WHAT HE WROTE BEFORE!" If they had an actual argument they'd use it.
