Yes. I never discard the fat. I just keep adding to the pan and cook it into stuff: onions, mushrooms, cabbage...
That's where the energy is, in the fat. That's the most important part. Protein is important too, but I wouldn't give up the fat.

How do I make ground beef better? I feel like if I do more than a third of pound my pan gets too crowded. Am I just supposed to do several batches? I also have shitty resistance stovetop so bringing it back up to temp after I add anything takes forever.
