Why don't you guys use it or own one? It literally makes cooking fun not having to worry about cleanup

I wash enameled dutch ovens, stainless, woods like cutting boards, knives and cast iron by hand. Everything else goes into my Bosch 800s. Had wanted Miele but my contractor says they break the month after your initial warranty expires. Happy with Bosch.

t. my dad spent 40 years engineering washing machines at Whirlpool in St. Joseph Michigan; don't buy Whirlpool today, the components are lowest tier obtainable

cause I'm poor and live in a basement apartment and wouldn't have a place to put one even if I could afford it. but honestly, I don't mind washing dishes by hand anyway, people make it out to be way more work than it really is. I find it kind of relaxing.

Get a countertop one. They have pour-over models and sink-attachment models now.
>>21606784 (OP)
Nigga, I've got two. One is my sink attached countertop one from close to twenty years ago and the other is the one my wife insisted we get installed about four years ago.

Enamel goes in. Knives go in. Stainless goes in. Nonstick, cast iron, wood and crystal are handwash

My dishwasher fucking sucks I hate it so much. I have to prerinse almost everything. The dishwasher in my last place just deleted everything even if it was forge welded onto the pan in the oven.

Stop that. Counterintuitively, they work best with shit crusted into the plates. At least mine does.
If you tried that already, then maybe it's your detergent. When we bought the one I mentioned in >>21607034 four years ago, our usual go-to, Finish powerball tabs, didn't work well with it so we switched to Cascade powder and it works better, surprisingly enough (because Cascade powder is way cheaper than any tab). I don't know why but it really does seem like certain detergents just work better in certain washers

Yeah, I've heard the warnings but other than my cleaver and chef's knife, our knives are cheapies. I had the cleaver and chef's knife made custom. I made a thread about it when I did.

all dishwashers suck, they smell like drains and washing the dishes is a simple task anyone can do. Its not like laundry or the cotton gin.

I'm too tall. It hurts my back to stand at the sink, hunched over, doing dishes. Dishwasher is a necessity pour moi

I do but I only use it for the tableware.
I use so many pots and pans and bowls it would be kind of dumb to put them in the dishwasher

Even when I lived in a place that had a dishwasher, I rarely used it and washed most stuff by hand anyway, because as a single person I don't produce enough dirty dishes to run full loads. And if I wait until I have a full load, I'm gonna run out of dishes. And I don't want to run the dishwasher like 3/4 empty, it just feels like a waste.
