Ah OK
Yeah I've seen that happen before when we had dickhead managers
This guy got hired and moved up to shift leader immediately because he had prior experience at another store. His title was Shift Lead, it was official. He was worked like one and given the responsibility of one.
Got his first paycheck and found out they were just paying him like a starting in-store. When he confronted the Manager about it, he was told
>Oh, no, you're a shift lead "in training"
>We'll increase your pay once we think you know everything you need to know : )

needless to say, I never saw him again
Anonymous No.21656106 [Report] >>21656119

That's exactly how it happened to me. At this place, however, we employees did not have access to pay stubs via an online portal, and paychecks were given via direct deposit. So nobody was able to see their rate or hours worked or anything like that.

I say this happened at one Domino's store, but it actually happened with me twice. Once it was at a Papa John's. Needless to say I've left the pizza business in the rearview mirror.

It pissed me off because he was actually a very good worker, dilligent, smart good with customers everything you could ask for. Had he just been paid and treated properly he would have likely become a good Manager, which you know as well as I do is very rare to have and keep
Instead we lost him almost immediately over such petty bullshit

the turn-over rate is so high and it's so hard to find and keep a good team because of dogshit like that

I lived in Denver, CO for about two years, and in that time I worked for the best manager I've ever seen, a guy called Dan. He ran a tight ship. He was all about efficient business, and he was also all about treating his people with respect. I opened with him. He showed up early every day to clean. He had young high school dropouts and a few homeless people working for him, and they did very well under him. They got back on their feet.

He had recently moved there from California. In the short time I worked for that franchise, corporate transferred him to four different stores. He took me with him the first time, but he was there maybe 3 months before they moved him again. They were using him for his leadership to set up a ragtag team before shoring him off to do it again. I found it disgusting.

This was back when John Schnatter was going through his controversy over his comments. I was at the Papa John's on Colfax in downtown Denver, right next to Aurora, at the time. We had to get rid of all of our boxes and promotional materials and signs right then and there, anything that had his face on it. That store used to be a KFC, and when it was, it was the site of a double murder. Thanks for reading my blog.

You love to see it. Really that's what a pizza joint job is for. If you're not an old burnout or a teenager, you might be in the wrong place. But if you are either of those things it will be your favorite job when you look back.
>corporate transferred him to four different stores. He took me with him the first time, but he was there maybe 3 months before they moved him again. They were using him for his leadership to set up a ragtag team before shoring him off to do it again. I found it disgusting.
Yeah, you can just see the cynical mindset of the regional overlords behind it. "He's good at fixing up a bad location to acceptable standards, let's just make him do that over and over" - without thinking about long-term at all. That only works if you have equally good people ready to follow up in the footsteps of the guy you made go in and fix it.

Otherwise everything backslides.

>large unlimited toppings for 9.99
It's a random once every 2 mo sale they have on repeat like that, or you'll see it for members only when you scroll down in your app for "offers" And as far as unlimited, I think it's like 5 toppings max.

My local Dominoes has good service, truly efficient and nice. They get the order right every time. I probably go every other week for one takeout (never delivery). With this frequency, I get free garlic bread(s) or a chocolate brookie order most of the time on the App, too. They are decent w/glass of milk latenight. I will ALWAYS prefer the mom n pop italian restaurants in my town, but pizza that is ready as you drive up or exit the expressway home is hard to beat for the price.

8 piece boneless chicken wings

and 2 cups of ranch dipping sauce (jewish not to include 1 with the chicken but whatever)

On a somewhat related note, what's the deal with Pizza Hut's "lil wings" thing they just launched? Did they just switch suppliers and now they can't get normal size wings, or are they just higher margin and being offered as an alternative to regular? Has anyone had them and are they any good?
