Frying pan is the worst way to cook pork chops.

As a kid, shake n bake pork chops and sides was a good night.
Shitty tomato juice goulash was the worst.

Only when they come out of a frying pan.
Oven and the BBQ do a far better job.

If you got your non-stick hot enough to give it that much of a scorch then you are eating chemicals 100%. Good luck with you cancer.

in your mind, what does chemicals mean exactly?

>>21677095
Yeah yeah I get it "Uhmm ackchewally everything is a chemical made of compounds! I'd like a nice glass of fresh H20 Please sir!"
But the teflon leeches off of non-stick pans past a certain temperature and is a known carcinogen.

Looking good OP.

I failed to cook the fat enough to make it delicious, I was afraid of overcooking the meat but I really should have took the time to sear the fat sides individually. Live and learn.

If u wanna go all out with your chop. 3/4 cup apple juice, two cut up apples in chunks, small amount brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, reduce in sauce pan for about 30-45 minutes on simmer around 25 min add salt, stone ground mustard and or mustard powder, small amount chipotle seasoning, small amount smoked paprika, reduce until final time . Let cool and u got a good chop marinade

this was before I came across the trick of using a cast iron pan to weigh down chops and steaks, which would have helped. Also I really need a gas stove, I can't control the heat properly with my rusty hotplates

You can also let your pork Warm up before cooking, like steak. Personally I dont use weights. Pork chops over a half inch I cook like a steak of similar size. As in, letting it warm up and taking time to cook it on a pan and/or transferring it into an oven. Though I primarily cook chops like that on my grill, and if not I cook them in a dish in the oven with stock/cream/ etc. but what you made looks good and I'd eat it, hopefully no rust though lol

I did have them out awhile to warm up a little, maybe not room temp though. I glazed one with mint jelly and it was very nice.

And no, just the stove is rusty, my cooking implements are immaculatté

lol, you're that dude who's been trolling cooking threads. "Poor people", huh? Show us your fridge, your kitchen, your cooking achievements, faggot. You always pick threads where people are clearly cooking good food too. Like you want to be the most off-base as possible.
You're a very ineffective troll. Calling people NPC and bot is a new level of faggotry for you though. Like you're trying to be as unpleasant as possible.

An open fire is going to have a weak flame, incomplete combustion and you get creosote and ash on your food. Which is why you cook on the coals of a camp fire.

I use a rocket stove. Picrel, to be exact.
