I like it that I have a local butcher but honestly it's pretty much just been specialty stuff. Like suckling pigs and steaks very specifically cut.
It's very expensive so big grocery stores for most stuff.

What are you counting as "big grocery store", "meat", and "local butcher"? I used to get newport steaks at this eye-talian joint with sawdust all over the floor in the village but I eat a lot less red meat now. Most of my dead animal comes from citarella which is more of a fishmonger with a small overpriced grocery store and butcher attached. I get cod, bluefish, skate, salmon, sole, swordfish, monkfish, and various bivalves. They always have lots of kinds of scrimps but I always get the carolina day boat kind because it's consistently the best. Thank you for reading my blog.

I like to get cold cut meats for sammiches. Sometimes pork chops or a lump of beef for a roast. Mostly sandwich meats though, they are good. And the one near me also has home made pickles and peppers I like.

Is it worth getting duck mince from a butcher or should I just buy skinless duck breasts from a grocery store and mince them myself?

I wish we had something this fancy. Mainly sausage. I get chicken from the grocery store. Our local one is alright, but my roomie kinda hates it

I buy a "half" of cow with my brothers roughly once a year, from an Angus farm nearby. It's about 250-300 lbs of all the cuts you can buy. The farm does the butchering and freezing. Other stuff I just do grocery stores mainly

confession: I live right next to this place and have never stopped in. I don’t cook a lot of meat at home (almost never in fact) but I’m thinking I should get something from here at least once

don't get too excited, it's just a butcher, the main draw is that it's old fashioned inside

This reminds me of the Olde Smokehouse that was a meat shop in my hometown for decades. Loved the smell of raw meat and cooked meat when I came in, hard to describe but it always made me hungry.
My folks always got steak from there, sometimes ground beef.

You have predator eyes, how did you even see that there was a fertile baby factory in there
