Hey, I don't know if this the place to properly ask, but I'm looking for the title of a comic book that has a part where an asian guy is explaining his experience getting into college and discovering that his college is actually known for being the college where asian women go to try and get in a relationship/married to white men and him overhearing a group of asian women discussing dating white men only.

There's two, I believe, earlier releases from Pirate in Desu.
These appear to be webrips from Internet Archive, or at least similar quality.
I don't believe Pirate actually is making ANY NEW scans, since he is capable of doing far better (and has done far better) quality scans for the scene since before CMX was a thing.
There are HQ quality scans of those made by the Novus scene kids, mostly Maid of Might and Dubois if you want to look for them, GetCo had them but the DDL links are broken, I believe, but the Novus folks skipped/missed several volumes - what exists of those on the scene are essentially stapled together collections of the individual stories by random scanners, that are otherwise collected in the 'missing' DC Archive editions so what Pirate has been releasing are the actual missing HCs (e.g. correct covers, correct introductions if there is one, correct indicia pages, correct TOCs pages, etc.).
I wish someone cleaned these scans up: centered the pages consistently/properly and otherwise fixed them BUT this is better than what we have. I'm hoping Pirate has access to all the other missing Archives, which is up to Vol. 10 or 11, IIRC.

Are the Giant Size Phantom Annuals put out by Frew Publications available anywhere? They have stories from original Aussie Heroes and I'm curious about them.

Volumes 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are released by Pyrate.
These releases are new scans made by an A3 scanner (which is a glorified camera for all intents and purposes) just as the newspaper strips from DC were. You will never get rip quality from these manual method. Sorry about that, but it is what it is because I will never destroy a book to scan it. Volume 8 was acquired and will be scanned as soon as it arrives from the vendor. That will complete the Legion Archives as far as I know. Cheers.

it's technically proficient like any other King - however, far more disjointed and way less cohesive that King can manage, PLUS the art is nowhere near as interesting or good as King managed on his other Eisner Award Winning™ books like Strange Adventures or Woman of Tomorrow, so this has NO saving grace, plus King TRIES to be funny, which he is largely not good at, and sometimes painfully so. Here, he's trying to be B-List Mark Russel while also parrot D-List Tomassi, and largely fails - but the idiots who want Jonathan Samuel aged down for more Supersons type stories were probably erect and wet through some of this. It started out as just another Superboy story—on the face of it, perhaps a bit more innovative than most, although it was published during one of the most creative periods in DC Comics history. I am sorry to disappoint, but I visited my nearest LCS today to get a few issues of Hello Darkness, but they had not a single issue of it. Dude said that as the sole LCS in a small city, he doesn't have much of a market for indie books, and so he stopped buying them. He only gets one copy of HD every month because only one person has been buying them.

I was going to take some photos of them and upload them here, but no such luck. Back to waiting!

They can be purchased for scanning but some are ridiculously overpriced, which is absurd considering that the archives really have no different material than the Chronicles, of which DC did about 6-8 for Superman/Action Comics and something similar for Batman/Tec, but most of those were never made available as digitals even though the original files were remastered. And except for any introductions, which not every Archive Edition had one, no other new material other than the TOC and other such material, and the actual content is also in the GA Omnibus - all of which what exists to be ripped, was done.

Of the actual DC Archive Editions, some of the GA Batman and GA Supes has been scanned and I doubt Pyrate will buy stuff that already exists. I'll try to see what exists and put it on to a file host later today or tomorrow.

It's newsprint, which is what comics were traditionally printed on, and it's what a lot of the big, thick phone book type comics are printed on that aren't in color. Manga also grew into a huge market because there's so much of it in one issue and it's cheaper - that's two things: cheap paper, and cheap (B&W) ink. The biggest cost to any publisher, be it DC or someone small like Titan or Oni, is turning on the printing press. That's why Second Printings were considered a big deal.

The Showcase Presents are a kind of specialized appeal with a specialized audience. And were never huge runs. By and large, even libraries were not an audience for it, and if it wasn't for libraries, some shit that is put out today that has small runs would never have made it into the wild.

Bezolandia gets the files from the publishers. You are taking the risk that Magnetic Press does this and it wasn't GumRoad, which a quick and dirty check on desu seems to give credence to; the only thing Crapazom won't do is paint huge watermarks of your email on the downloads (as far as I know). Empire has released Magnetic Press stuff as recently as in the past 5 years but it looks like they stripped stuff. As far as I know, Amazon adds metadata to their digital downloads (including music and movies), that can be stripped by various tools, but you'll need to do your own legwork to do that.

I haven't wasted time personally buying anything from Bezoz if I can avoid it.

I bought Gloaming's Hans Rickheit in pdf format from Gumroad and a few other books too and the files don't have that watermark on them. Seems only Magnetic press does that.
I know how to remove the DRM from Amazon books and rip them but I was wondering if they had some hidden watermarks on them left. I will keep studying I guess and won't be releasing any books.

Sorry, I haven't looked for these in forever, but of the 18 Batman/Batman The Dark Knight/Batman Dynamic Duo HCs, apparently none have been scanned (and none are available to be ripped). And there's also two HCs of the Batman ONLY stories from the early run of World's Finest.
However, and I would have to double check, almost all of the issues that make up these HCs have high quality digital rips. Batman v1 issues 01-37 make up all off Batman: The Dark Knight Archives Volume 1 - Volume 8, for example, and those are on LibGen or should be on GetCo. If you want specific issues, those I can zip up and throw on to a file host for you, but sorry I was mistaken about any official DC Archives editions existing of those as scene scans.
Again, the contents in these is repeated in many forms, The Batman Chronicles TPB collects Batman v1 issues 01-21 and the Golden Age Omnibus consist of 10 HCs that collect everything (both the self-titled, the Tec and the Batman only stories from World's Finest v1) through the 1950s (and sadly this does include remastered issues we DO not have in anything other than a paper scan at the moment). Son of Ultron has released all the GA digital versions through Volume 6, but these do not mirror the contents of the Omnibus through Volume 6 and again only takes you to the fall of 1944 - but it does include the Batman only stories from Worlds Finest.

Again, sorry to get your hopes up.

Those kinds of paywalls need an actual log-in credential to get to the next page, so there's no real, practical, way to by-pass it. There are probably JavaScript or other extension blockers that will work, which is what I use for some sport columnists I follow, but certain sites (a good example is The Athletic and the NY Times) have paywalls where none of the usual and easy tricks work to by-pass their restrictions.
Most companies figure that most people won't waste the energy or want to have that many extensions turned on, since it makes so many other sites fail to work for them, plus most people are fucking lazy, so they don't take it as far as this guy (and a few others) do.
