>Hey, I wanted to talk to you about... You know, I... feel bad, about what happened
>So, you're apologizing
>Yes. I'm sorry
>Okay. I don't forgive you
>....Herb, I said I'm sorry
>Yeah, and I do not forgive you

How would you continue the convo?

Thank them feeling sorry and getting atonement aren't the same thing. Ask if they'd like to hang out not ask to help (because he got on fine without you your not some white knight on a shining horse) Feel sorry keep feeling sorry that's the path to being a better person.
Anonymous No.148969857 [Report]
I doubt Bojack even actually felt sorry. When you tell someone you are sorry you have to mean it and I don't think he did. He just wanted to feel better about himself and Herb didn't give him that.
It's the same with that 'tell me I'm a good person' speech he did with Diane.

Herb was an idiot, he got depressed his very first big project failed him and just stopped trying and became bitter and resentful, he thought bojack was his golden egg hen and that he was his property forever. bojack didn't have to apologize to him, Herb was a manipulative bastard and died like one.

I would do what Bojack should have done which is walking away. Which ironically might have been the only thing that would have made Herb change his mind over Bojack if he was willing to accept that.

This is truth. The wealthy are like insects. The wealth inequality and the economy imbalances with low-income society is not en issue until they see how they will be remembered when they die. Most will be hated, and justifiably. The rich can attempt to make amends with paltry charities that get allocated to banks and aldermen in low-income counties but the people will never get real help like championing free healthcare, union work, and affordable housing. All these things we have in access and we choose to let it rot.

Still dont buy the reasoning. What the fuck did Herb expect? Hollywood was very antigay in the 90s and to expect your friend to lose his career over you shows how selfish and out of touch Herb was. He's a fucking asshole for expecting everyone to walk away from what they did just for him

For me, I would have said I understand and I at least hope you had a good day. I understand there is a difference between moving on and truly forgiving somebody for their actions. If I was Bojack my own ego would prevent me from doing anything else different.

"You don't need to. I just felt like it had to be said."

and if starts ranting at me or some shit I'd just be like "Understandable. Have a good day." and I'd leave.

But if Bojack had that kind of confidence and self-security, there wouldn't even have been a show.

I'd say I understand, probably apologize again and leave. I'd feel sad but it would be my own fault, and in a way I got closure.

I wouldn't apologize in the first place. I was a young person pressured and manipulated by powerful Hollywood executives into staying silent, like damn near everyone in this shithole town. Herb lived a good life and the controversy didn't slow him down at all.

I'd make a public statement explaining this, and Herb could like it or hate it. But I did everything reasonable I could do.
