Yes and it is a relic of the show being 25 years old. The flip side of that is in that 25 years they did develop him into a real character and not a racist stereotype.

It's not that he doesn't understand what these things are about, it's that he needs his take to sound enlightened and special because he'd rather burst than to let anyone know he doesn't have anything deeper to say about it.
So to never have to post in this shit thread again, I'll say that my dislike for indians, above all, is because they are hypocrite classist pieces of shit. The poo in the loo do not redeem saaaaaar types are just as awful as the rich entitled adi sankar types, but the latter will somehow pretend the only charicature that collectively painted them in a positive light for over a decade is somehow the real problem.
