I miss the early seasons where it was way more improvisational, you could hear the actors making each other laugh and it was basically Home Movies 2

Every single awkward weird girl is into this show. Why does it appeal to them specifically?

It's especially sad since Bob's Burgers is one of the few long-running shows to have maintained practically all of its original writers since that first season. It didn't face the challenge other shows have of new hires taking over and failing to capture what made the show good; it's the same writers of those classic quotable episodes from the early 2010s losing sight of what made this show so beloved in the first place. No one could've prevented Bob's Burgers growing soft but THEM.

The show is a safe space for people who are socially inept. There are no characters that embody strong masculine, or feminine traits. Every character in the show has an awkward personality, if not, they are downright insufferable. For example, Linda is one of the most insufferable characters, as she forces her views on everyone, inserts herself into every event, and constantly demands attention. Not to mention she abuses privileges like hotel bathrooms and free samples. Shit like that is not cute or endearing, the dumb bitch needs to be knocked down a peg.

I heard it was a speed issue. Improv recordings took too long and they had way too much that was unusable and needed multiple sessions to get a good banter between characters to fit a scene. 100% fully scripted episodes can be bammed out in no time at all when there is a very tight schedule to keep.

Also the old writers are one of the weaknesses of the show. It was meant to be mostly improv from the comedians they hired, the writers just put a simple framework of the episode together. But now since they make everything they are not skilled at doing much other than very simple stories since they always left it up to the comedians to make it good. When it's all up to the writers, they make bland boring episodes.

Bobs burgers is quite literally is one of the most boring and pointless shows ever made

Tina is an absolute freak in the later seasons. She sounds like a frog on crack and is oftentimes more loud and energetic than Louise and even Gene. I imagine someone who's never heard of Bob's Burgers watching a new episode thinking wtf is wrong with her character.

that's the most expressive mouth in all of bob's burgers
look at that INTENSE expression
look at the chins, they have TWO LINES, they really broke the bank on those chins there, one of them even extends past the neck
now look at those eyebrows on the right
the eyebrows actually look like they have any sort of expression whatsoever. by far the most expressive eyebrows in all of bob's burgers

you can just smell the tension in the air this scene is so expressive
