Mutants are always going to be a retarded allegory, the whole point of being a mutant in X-Men is a metaphor for being part of a "marginalized" or persecuted group, so in this context it would be like being a minority/gay person saying there is no cure and there shouldn't be and society needs to change. But in X-Men Universe it's retarded because this is a girl who kills everything she touches.

That's the fucking problem, it should have never turned into that, the X-Men and mutants should have stayed as just gifted people the general populace in the Marvel universe had no issues with, not a portrait of the civil rights movement.
Now we have ugly ass mutants being created, with extreme deformities to make it more believable why a common person would be prejudiced against said mutant.

Except these kinds of mutants should be more sympathetic than the general public, because they are just disabled/deformed people. I'm more afraid of the guy who can kill thousands of people if his sunglasses fall off.
