>so there's an army of indestructible planet destroying robots out there
>but forget that, this is totally a happy ending
>never mind that taking a nuke to the face could've just reset the Giant to "kill all humans" mode

>>148997395 (OP)That's the backstory of the giant. It doesn't really have any bearing on what's happening with the characters we know.
>>148997395 (OP)if there was a sequel dealing with that shit then it would been very fucking dogshit
I liked this added scene in the definitive edition. More spooky retro sci fi.

Fantastic movie, but it only turned out that way because of Brad Bird. If it wasn't for his involvement, it would've turned out another mediocre WB movie like Quest for Camelot and Osmosis Jones
>>148997872Wasn't the whole concept his idea from the start? "What if a gun had a soul and didn't want to be a gun" after his sister was shot? Or am I thinking of someone else
>>148997917WB had the idea of making a movie based on the book "The Iron Man" by Ted Hughes, and then chose Brad to direct it
>>148997395 (OP)The sequel was insane. I don't think it would have made a good animated movie.
Osmosis Jones pisses me off. It had all the ingredients to be a great animated buddy-cop comedy with an adult edge, yet it never rises above mediocrity because of the script
>>148998057Why do I bring it up? Because it was the next movie by the WB division that made Iron Giant
>>148997862It's definitely a cool scene but a bit out of place
I like Hogarth's mom a lot
>>148997395 (OP)It's not like they are coming to earth for a defective unit
