I sincerely hope that the ending to Toy Story 5 is that the toys try to get kids to play with them and the toys FAIL.

I am so tired of the whole bullshit about these movies pretending toys are popular. They are not. Toys were being phased out during the first Toy Story thanks to the gaming industry. Not to mention Toy Story was released on the same year America got the first Sony Playstation when gaming went 3D. That was a HUGE deal.

The gaming industry replaced toys so extremely its not even funny. And yet the Toy Story movies pretend kids give a damn about toys especially during Toy Story 3 and 4 where enough time has gone by that gaming went into High Definition. The fact of the matter is that if the Toy Story movies were realistic the ending of Toy Story 3 is Andy throws all the toys to the garbage dump. They would not find any kind of salvation. The toys of Toy Story belonged the final generation that gave a damn about toys.

And Gen Alpha cares much less about toys than Zoomers. Gen Alpha has gaming and internet entertainment. That alone is more interactive and engaging than shitty toys. I just don't see how Toy Story 5 is going to do well when modern kids don't give a fuck about toys as characters and aging old farts felt betrayed by Toy Story 4 so they're not inclined to come back for Toy Story 5.

Nothing about this sequel seems like it will be good or fitting culturally. Its all shit.

About the Toy Story movies I just don't understand how they have lasted for as long as they have. People have moved on from toys.

Toys are expensive and you can't do much with them. Video games? Cheaper than toys historically until DLC shit started, you get more bang for your buck, and you can always replay your favorite games without looking like a weirdo. No one is going to say a thing about you bringing out your Nintendo Switch and playing it in public but people will give you the Creep Eye if you bring your your Ben Ten toys and start playing with them.

Toys are passe.
