>>149004415Thunderbolts failed because its a bunch of shitty characters that no one actually cares about. They are not even niche. Niche is the Fantastic Four by the way.
Superman on the other hand is the founder of the super hero genre so he has a higher chance of success. I just hope he fails. Given the state of the modern world why would normies resonate with a Goody Boy Scout? That's bullshit of the highest order. And don't bother saying people liked Captain America during the MCU.
Captain America was riding that MCU high and the set up of Cap during those movies is that he's a man out of time, an old fashioned man who got frozen until the present day. Superman doesn't have that gimmick excuse. And you can imagine by now normies have gone back to no longer giving a shit about Captain America. Back to obscurity with Cap.
In the modern day I don't see not even normies relating to a good boy type character like Superman. Society and culture has rotted and decayed so Superman's naive optimism makes no sense especially for a grown man. And it doesn't help that white birthrates are down because the USA is notably not as white so Superman's appeal is greatly diminished what with an increasing number of Latinos living in the USA.
Superman has no chance. I will be surprised if Superman even makes a billion but I think the movie will fizzle out. The brand is not strong and having THREE subplots within the first film is convoluted already.
