Monster By Mistake is the closest thing I could think of with that description: a truly awful Canadian show that aired on YTV when I was growing up.

Yeah thats the gist of her plot. if your gonna put fetishes into your plot, i figure atleast make it relevant.

shes desperate for fame, and is blackmailing our main character with stuff she figured out in the first act, to help make her big (in terms of fame), but she doesn't realize the full extent of the plot, and basically soon gets cursed to grow to double her height, becoming a worldwide phenomenon, with doctors assuming its some freak growth hormone in her. This draws the attention of our antagonists, who know she specifically is somehow involved in the first act as well as our plot B characters who know that she's trouble. fates probably gonna be her turning into a one hit wonder, with the public moving on from her, and she'll either desperately chase after it, or accept it and move on after realizing the damage fame did to her, i dunno yet though, still not finished the full script, although I have drawn about 30 pages. probably gonna send the first chapter around once im finsihed it, as its 52 pages.

In X-men Evolution, Spyke started off as one of the more inexperienced, audience surrogate characters. And of course, a token minority for the era.
He was prominent in Season 1, less so in Season 2, then by the end of Season 3 he undergoes a mutation that makes him covered in bone marrow who had to go with the Morlocks because he wouldn't be accepted y humans anymore.

In-universe, there isn't much explanation for it, but the real explanation is that it's a toy-driven series, and there's a tradition of horrific mutant toys. I guess the writers wanted to set up someone that the viewers wouldn't mind seeing terrible things happen to.
