Aquaman comics are any good? I need some underwater ocean-punk adventures

Peter David's Aquaman comics. He's dead now so I can praise them without inflating his gigantic ego.

Honestly just read Geoff johns, Jeff Parker, Dan Abnett (skip bunn). That’s the better part of a decade and it’s extremely good.

Busiek did some good work on the character and PAD’s work, despite being EXTREMELY overrated, is good to revisit after reading everything else I said. If you’re trying to get in to the character it makes no sense to read his run first. Maybe go PAD then Busiek for chronology but there’s a bunch of shit in between that makes it all but completely separate.

The Steve Skeates era (late 60s/early 70s) is also the bees knees anon. Super good, well written, and kind of trippy

Read Atlantic Chronicles. It's an underwater Shakespearean fantasy epic leading up to the birth of Aquaman. You can read the rest of Peter David's run after that if you want.

Also, the 80's Aquaman mini with the weird blue costume is very good.
