I was born in 2001 and I feel too old to see any of the shows in the OP with rosey goggles. Regular Show was only good for 3 seasons. Adventure Time is mid, Steven Universe is godawful. Gumball was consistently good but it's very weird to see these shows that still feel relatively new to me be classed as "old school".

Ben became awful with each new sequel. Abysmal writing and frankly making Ben more unlikable and even having Ben directly explain that him acting unlikable is a good thing. Had to drop that franchise after that terrible episode. And the other characters who were meh became worse like Gwen and another thing Kevin has no business acting like a hero since his motivation in the first cartoon is to repeatedly try to kill Ben's family. This franchise became so horrible.
