TLDR for those who haven't read the comic

This is the most controversial couple in the series. Shippers and woman-haters hate Eve for being a “bitchy baby killer” but in reality Kirkman setup their relationship because the comic loves cheeky callbacks. The setup is entirely convoluted since he makes his human girlfriend break up with him while he likes him, and it takes him a long time, like, almost 2 years to set up Eve and Mark thing. In all that time Mark just doesn't care about Eve and he only learns to like her because Future Eve said she liked him. Meaning, he felt sorry for her. To make matters worse Kirkman decided to make them not be together for the whole relationship which created two controversial plotlines; Eve abortion and Eve new boyfriend. Both are there for ‘'DEVELOPMENT’' but the actual problem is not that Eve is a baby killer, but that the comic shrugged off the abortion as no big deal. The New Boyfriend is kind of funny, and it's just the raging woman-haters going “MUH WOMEN ARE BAD”.
So the relationship is entirely farcical and only exists because Kirkman loves Callbacks. Sometimes I think he felt bored writing this plotline.

She isn't. She can only bring herself back from the brink of death under very specific circumstances. She is very much mortal otherwise and can be easily killed if you catch her off gaurd.

In the comics Mohawk Mark mentions most of the Invincible variants came from dimensions where their Eve's had died. So since in most dimensions Mark is evil that means most Eve's across the multiverse end up dying. The main universe Eve is just stupidly lucky.

Eve isn't Doctor Manhattan. She's painfully human and doesn't think her powers make her a god. Besides the only real limitation on her powers is her inability to use it on sentient life. Otherwise she's using her powers at full capacity. It's only after she breaks her limiter and uses her powers to rebuild herself that they get stronger. Her limiter isn't holding back her powers it's just preventing her from using it on organic living beings including herself.

This series is very dry and uninteresting once you get past Mark and Nolan's initial drama, and I'm honestly surprised it became so popular.

No. He was sent to kill Mark and thats it. He even said he was given free reign and no parameters to do so too. He was allowed to do anything to earth as long as he killed Mark. If they wanted to preserve earth for reproduction purposes they would have told him to secure earth and keep as much of the population alive to make it part of the empire.

They only became interested in earth and it's people after Mark beat Conquest because because it was unheard of for any species to produce a half breed capable of going toe to toe with Conquest and be that young, Invincible has only had his powers for a fraction of a second compared to someone like Conquest.

First off the viltrums think the bug people are gross. Second the only advantage they have over human hybrids is that they develop their powers faster and at an earlier age. I like the changes from the comics for the most part. Debbie being my favorite. I think it's a good thing it's not just a 1:1 retelling of it because I can appreciate both for what they are instead of moaning about this part not being 100% over and over. It would be like writing a Batman story where he sucks at fighting and is constantly getting beat up and shot because he forgets to use stealth.

It's just annoying. When a character has obviously unmet potential or is clearly just not utilizing their tools well, it's frustrating and takes you out of the story because now you're having to tiptoe around the writer's lack of insight and ingenuity and try to make excuses for it within the context of the story. You just have to accept the character in question is functionally stupid, possibly even a literal, actual retard because they haven't considered the very obvious ramifications of their own powers.

yeah they have Kate Mara of all people. KATE MARA voicing a fucking nobody character for one episode, she has a few scenes but it's less dialogue than Aaron Paul, he co-actor in that episode who is at least utilized in more than one episode.
I imagine she's only in one episode because the kind of premium she would command. She's a certified A-lister. why would they spend all this money? it barely sounds like her. she does not have a distinctive voice. anyone could have done that role.
