Why did Nick never advertise new episodes after the first season and air it at shitty timeslots? They have nobody else, but themselves to blame for why it had low ratings and got cancelled after 39 episodes

When a show it failing, they have to "burn it off." That is, they have to air it, contractually. Once that's done, they can wash their hands of it.

They didn't advertise it because that costs money; The show did not make money.

They put it at bad time slots because they used it to fill holes in the schedule.

Nick really didn't give it a chance. After a few months, they basically treated it like crap, airing it at 2PM or 6AM or other shitty timeslots and not advertising it and then shoving it off to the Nicktoons channel

and yet, Nickelodeon aired Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron at really good timeslots and promoted them a lot. Jimmy Neutron was one of the last shows to have a good run on the network and not get shoved to the Nicktoons channel or at at bad slots towards the end of its run
