I used to work at Nickelodeon. We used to head to public schools and offer them computers for their computer room if they allowed a screening of a roughly assembled episode of a new animated series. The room would lined with cameras and child psychologists. The second the child took their eyes off of the screen and started to play with the Mr. potato head doll they were given. The studio was given notes and time code exactly where that happened and it was sent back to alter the point where the childโ€™s interest wained. Colors were adjusted, loud noises were added anything to mesmerize the child. Parents signed up to have their children defeated psychologically. This has been going on a long long time.

Based. It's imperative that humans be socioengineered from a young age in order to make them into maximalist consumers to support the global economy. Cash is God and you are its prophets.

creepypastas had died by then, at that point in time little kids took to five nights at freddy's instead of creepypastas and the rest of the internet thought SCP's were better than creepypastas (ironic because now it's the other way around, the SCP wiki has been in a steep decline for years)

Why get that job if you're so cynical about it? How is making stuff that appeals to kids "defeating them psychologically"? Every good product has polishing and fine tuning to make them more engaging and satisfying. I know this isn't /v/ but should every video game's beta or alpha build be the final release? What you're describing is the improvement of cartoonfeel.

Beta build is more apt. Alphas are unfinished, the cartoon equivalent would be releasing the product as a storyboard animatic.

>Rather than the character models being plain paper cut outs, they were hyper realistic early CG models made with secretive technology provided by an unknown source
>The children screamed when they saw the hyperrealistic characters
>Angela herself cried hyperrealistic blood and her lines were all reversed with a loud reverb
>Angela Anaconda made it onto TV anyway

If you ever wondered why Spongebob gradually became more spastic and fast-paced over time, this is exactly why. It's a bad result of networks chasing after fleeting attention spans of kids in a unwinnable battle against social media brain rot.

You copied this idea from the โ€œDistractatron,โ€ a real thing they use for test screenings when making Cocomelon
>For anyone older than 2 years old, the team deploys a whimsically named tool: the Distractatron.
>Itโ€™s a small TV screen, placed a few feet from the larger one, that plays a continuous loop of banal, real-world scenes โ€” a guy pouring a cup of coffee, someone getting a haircut โ€” each lasting about 20 seconds. Whenever a youngster looks away from the Moonbug show to glimpse the Distractatron, a note is jotted down.
