For better or worse, these two were the last 2D movies that got a theatrical release. Which one was better?

Corpos will do anything in their power to save money while providing the lowest common denominator the slop they want, doesn't matter if you support it or not, they will push it out regardless.

On what fucking planet do you live where either of these cost less then the average CGI slop? Not even the Pixar outliers that cross 200 million somehow, I'm talking what universe are you in where either of these were even half as expensive as the notoriously cheap Minions shit?

And the Day the Earth Blew Up cost 15 million.

If corpos really wanted to save money and that's it, every production would be 2D instead of the vastly more expensive and equally time consuming CGI. But through audience apathy, sabotage, whatever you want to imagine up besides, 2D doesn't sell anywhere near as good as CGI does.

Hell that's a damn sight more than the Garfield movie had, which was Chris Pratt and Samuel L Jackson and... pretty much nobody else of note? I guess nobody else who made it on the poster, I never watched it. And that cost 60 million.

There's just no getting around CGI is more expensive than 2D animation, by a lot. It just, you know... makes money sometimes.

>these two were the last 2D movies
1. Boy and the Heron was hand drawn.
2. Suzume was released in North America in 2023, after it's Japanese/Asian releases in 2022
3. Even if some idiots consider manga and anime releases 'slop' >>149049485, Blue Giant was released by G-Kids in North America in 2023
4. Even though most people know Wolfwalkers >>149051191 from piracy or AppleTV+, it was also distributed international and in NA (again, by G-KIDS).
5. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim was released theatrically in NA during 2024, even if it made essentially little BO. There were another 20+ traditional animation movies released in Japan (yes, most of them, but not all of them anime), but also in the EU, South America, and elsewhere.

>>149048248
>>149048271
Above is more but five (plus Bob's Burgers) is more than enough to prove OP is an idiot. Also Netflix and other streamers will continue to make traditional animated feature length crap, they just won't release it in theaters because that's not part of their business model and never will be.

It's not your fault that your pedo crush was only popular enough to get a TELEVISION live action adaptation and could therefore only AFFORD an actor who was too old for your taste when he was cast, anon. There's still the fap art on hentai.
