There was nothing wrong with making an Astro Boy reboot movie for western audiences. The problem is that the company behind the movie (Imagi Studios) didn't have a good writing team. Tezuka Productions should've written the story and screenplay themselves, instead of handling those responsibilities to Imagi.

It's been 15 years since this studio shut down and yet these Imagi/Astro Boy '09/TMNT '07/David Bowers/Timothy Harris threads keep popping up quite often. All those threads won't bring this studio back from the dead. At some point, it's time to move on with your life.
