It had a good run, endlessly rerunning the same handful of shows would've made them feel played out, and all the other old shows weren't commercially viable since no one was watching their reruns but what we got was nice and maybe we'll get something similar in the future one day

I can see them airing Cartoon Cartoons and other 90s Cartoons outside the block tho since Pinky & The Brain and Batman Beyond air outside the block now

Every media network, television included, needs to have a certain percentage of Canadian made content air or else the network can get fined or blocked in Canada for not complying. It's meant to keep their culture theirs or something, but the laws are so fucked that what counts as 'Canadian' is very strict. Leads to the same handful of shows being spammed on networks so that way when the bigger things need to come on they can air without issues.

Also if a cartoon show is animated in Canada the main character must be voiced by someone who is 100% Canadian, otherwise the VA gets replaced (Sonic Prime and Bravest Warriors for example), if you are half Canadian you can still get a supporting role without problem, but not a main one

That was until C11 happened (because too many Canadian studios (with Mercury Filmworks, Tonic DNA and Yowza being the worst offenders) were using contract work as "local work" to get around Canadian broadcast laws), now Canada can't take any outsource work (excluding features due to landscape shooting reasons).

Rudish Mickey could be resurrected of Paul Rudish moves to Canada, has Mercury Filmworks take full control and have the voice team be 100% Canadian.
